A stunning bamboo escape in the mountains! We had the pleasure of staying at Shell house and were not disappointed. This brand new villa is beautifully designed with your own private pool on the roof! The staff are very kind and the food is delicious. The views from the bamboo house are of the ocean, neighboring islands of Lembongan/Ceningan with Bali in the distance. Only 15 minutes from the harbor, it’s great to do a day trip to swim with the mantas or drive to Kelingking beach. Definitely recommend when visiting Nusa Penida!

Stayed at the Shell House for 2 nights and it was out of this world. Wayan, Dita, and staff go above and beyond to make guests happy and they were so sweet and friendly. The house is immaculately clean. The view is incredible and the food was delicious. This hidden gem is a must stay hotel when visiting Nusa Penida.

We stayed one night in each of the villas, both are magnificent, with a view of Mount Agung, the sunsets are magical! Our most beautiful accommodation in Penida.

We recently stayed at the beautiful Shell House and we couldn't rate it higher if we tried. This place is absolutely incredible. The view from the pool on the top of the roof is like something from a movie! Every detail is perfection. On top of that, the place is completely spotless (which is unusual in a bamboo property). We also really enjoyed the food and drinks on offer, especially the chicken black pepper. This place is perfect for couples who want an intimate, romantic getaway on the beautiful island of Nusa Penida. As for the previous review about the mosque call to prayer, please ignore it. The mosque is actually down at sea level and the villas are up on the hill. There is nothing the property can do about the sound of a call to prayer. If you are on holiday in Indonesia, you are bound to hear a mosque as the country is 90% islamic. This did not bother us in the slightest and this shouldn't impact your opinion on this beautiful place - we slept like babies! Overall, 10/10 and cannot wait to come back for our next trip!! ❤️
